Virtual Tab for Remembrance Challenge 2022

6th October 2022 - 6th November 2022
Virtual Tab for Remembrance Challenge 2022

Walkerburn and The Great War 1914-18

Walkerburn had the highest casualty rate, as a proportion of its population, of any community in Scotland. In 1920 the War Memorial was built by public subscription. In 1997 the statue was stolen, perhaps to order, and another fund raising effort was made to replace it. Enough money was raised for a full size figure. The new statue was unveiled by HRH The Princess Royal 20th September 1999.

Run, Walk, Swim or Cycle a 100 miles whilst fundraising for Who Dares Cares during October 2022 followed by joining the Who Dares Cares Board Members for their Annual Tab for Remembrance 6th November 2022 at Walkburn. We'll hold a short Remembrance and 2 minutes silence at the Walkerburn War Memorial to Remember the Fallen followed by a short Walk, Talk and Brew.

A Who Dares Cares Tab for Remembrance T-Shirt will be provided on registration and a Who Dares Cares Coin will be awarded to all participants on completion of the challenge at the Annual Tab for Remembrance.
